My Story
Born and raised in Norfolk, I'm a child of the seventies. I am married to Paul and we have a son called James and dogs called Lily and Lola who complete our family picture.
I like reading, boxsets and cinema, I love quiet times and fun times and prosecco. I like roast dinners, always with Yorkshire puddings and apple pie with ice cream, I like exploring new places and walks in the woods, I love Norfolk, its culture, coastline, history and wherever I am in the world it will always be home.
I've been working as a Press Photographer since 1995. I obtained my NCTJ Photojournalism qualification in 1995 at college in Sheffield and after stints working on newspapers in Reading, Cambridge, and Bury St Edmunds my dream came true and I came home to Norfolk to work on the Eastern Daily Press and Evening News in 2001.
I'm passionate about photography, I simply love taking pictures, describing a story, bringing the news and events into people's homes. I feel very lucky to have begun my career when black and white photography was the only option for news and sport, spending my days and nights locked away in my darkroom long before photography started evolving into the medium we see today.
I have been photographing weddings and families since 2008, shortly after I got married myself. It's amazing to be a part of someone's special day and such a privilege to be their chosen photographer.
I really enjoy editing the images afterwards and turning hundreds of photographs into a story that will be treasured forever. What could be better than that?
