Hunters Hall near Swanton Morley, an Autumnal November Wedding
Monday, February 16, 2026 | By: Sonya Duncan Photography
Lucy and Robert’s November wedding at Hunters Hall, near Swanton Morley in Norfolk, was a perfect example of how beautiful a late autumn wedding can be.
Despite being later in the year, we were incredibly lucky with the weather and were able to make the most of the stunning grounds around the barn for their relaxed, natural wedding photography.
An Unique Arrival in a Restored WWII Jeep
One of the most memorable parts of the day was the groom’s arrival.
Robert, along with his groomsmen and his dad, arrived at Hunters Hall in a beautifully restored World War Two jeep that belongs to his father. It was such a unique and personal touch, and it certainly made an entrance!
Moments like these are what make every wedding so special — those little details that reflect the couple and their story.
Bridal Preparations at Hunters Hall
Lucy got ready at Hunters Hall with her bridesmaids, it was a lovely calm and happy atmosphere to start the day.
Hair and makeup were done on-site, with plenty of laughter and excitement building as the ceremony approached.
One of Lucy’s bridesmaids, Sarah, is Robert’s sister — and someone I know well, as I worked with her at the Eastern Daily Press. I also had the pleasure of photographing Sarah’s wedding to Mike, who was one of Robert’s groomsmen on the day, which made it even more special to be part of this wedding.
Rich Autumn Colours and Beautiful Details
The bridesmaids wore beautiful green dresses, which worked perfectly for an autumn wedding and complemented the rustic setting of Hunters Hall.
The barn was filled with warm, seasonal touches that created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all their guests.
A Relaxed Ceremony and Natural Moments
The ceremony was full of emotion, smiles, and a few happy tears.
As a Norfolk wedding photographer, I always aim to capture these moments naturally and unobtrusively, allowing the day to unfold without interruption.
Making the Most of the Outdoors in November
Even though it was November, we were able to head outside for couple photos around the grounds of the barn.
Hunters Hall offers a beautiful rural backdrop, and the soft autumn light created the perfect setting for relaxed, natural portraits.
These quieter moments away from the guests are always a lovely chance for couples to take everything in.
Afternoon Tea and Celebration
Lucy and Robert chose an afternoon tea style wedding breakfast, which was a lovely touch that suited the relaxed feel of the day perfectly.
Guests enjoyed a selection of delicious treats before the celebrations continued into the evening.
Dancing, Sweet Treats and a Great Party
The evening celebrations brought everyone together on the dancefloor, with a lively disco, a sweet trolley, and plenty of fun with friends and family.
It was clear how much Lucy and Robert are loved, with so many people there to celebrate with them.
A Wonderful Norfolk Wedding Day
Lucy and Robert’s wedding at Hunters Hall was full of personal touches, laughter, and genuine moments — everything that makes a wedding day so memorable.
