A Beautiful Monday Wedding at Dunston Hall, Norfolk

Some weddings just feel incredibly special from the very beginning, and Sadie and Ash’s wedding at Dunston Hall in Norfolk was certainly one of them.

I first met Sadie and Ash back in March 2025 at The Stunning Spring Wedding Fair at The Forum in Norwich. They were already busy planning their dream wedding and, from our first conversation, it was clear that this was going to be a day centred around the people who mattered most to them, their family and, in particular, their blended family.

Fast forward to their wedding day and I was so excited to finally see all those plans come together.

An Intimate Monday Wedding at Dunston Hall

Monday weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and I can completely understand why. There is something wonderfully relaxed and intimate about getting married at the start of the week, particularly when you're planning a smaller wedding surrounded by your closest family and friends.

Sadie and Ash chose Dunston Hall for their Norfolk wedding, with an intimate outdoor ceremony surrounded by their families. There was such a lovely atmosphere as everyone gathered to watch them finally say I do.

After meeting them back in 2025 and hearing all about their plans, it was a real pleasure to be there to capture the moment they finally became husband and wife.

A Beautiful Summer Wedding Day

The height of the summer heat had faded slightly, leaving us with a much more comfortable temperature, perfect for enjoying everything Dunston Hall has to offer.

After the outdoor ceremony, everyone was able to relax with drinks on the lawn while the children enjoyed the garden games. With a blended family, having plenty of opportunities for everyone to be together and enjoy the day was incredibly important to Sadie and Ash.

And the children certainly made the most of it!

There was lots of laughter, plenty of fun and, later in the evening, they all showed that they knew exactly how to rock a dance floor.

Sadie's Beautiful Bridal Style

Sadie looked absolutely beautiful in her elegant lace wedding dress. Her flowers complemented the day perfectly, with a gorgeous mixture of blue and white lilies and roses.

There were also some lovely personal touches woven throughout her bridal look. Sadie wore jewellery that had belonged to her aunt, adding a really meaningful family connection to her wedding day.

The children looked fantastic too, dressed in a mixture of sage green suits and dresses, while Ash looked very smart in a navy three-piece suit.

The colour combination worked beautifully against the grounds of Dunston Hall and gave the photographs a timeless feel.

Golf Buggy Adventures Around Dunston Hall

Of course, no Dunston Hall wedding with me would be complete without a little golf buggy fun!

Once the formalities were over, we headed off around the beautiful grounds for some relaxed wedding photographs. Rather than keeping things overly posed or formal, we could explore, have some fun and make the most of the surroundings.

One of Sadie's requests was particularly important to her, she had a beautiful veil that she absolutely loved and wanted to make sure it featured in her photographs.

So naturally, we made it a main character!

And, of course, Sadie also wanted to make sure we captured Dunston Hall itself in the background, so we made the most of the architecture and grounds as we explored.

A Wedding About Family

For me, one of the loveliest things about Sadie and Ash's wedding was how much their blended family was at the heart of the day.

From the outdoor ceremony to drinks on the lawn, garden games, exploring the grounds in the golf buggy and eventually dancing together in the evening, there was a real sense that everyone was included.

That's what I love about smaller, intimate weddings. They can feel incredibly personal, relaxed and full of those little moments that might otherwise get lost in a much larger celebration.

A Dream Wedding at Dunston Hall

From that first meeting at The Stunning Spring Wedding Fair in March 2025 to finally watching Sadie and Ash say I do, it was such a pleasure to be part of their journey.

Their Monday wedding at Dunston Hall was relaxed, intimate, full of family and, most importantly, completely them.

There were beautiful flowers, a gorgeous lace dress, meaningful family jewellery, golf buggy adventures, garden games, a much-loved view, plenty of laughter and a dance floor that certainly got its money's worth!

And that is exactly what a wedding day should be.
